EfA hosts interns

We are excited to currently be hosting two interns from the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources at our research camp in Botswana and so we are going to give them the opportunity to introduce themselves.

My name is Ontlametse Baratwa Rantshabeng, a second-year student at the Botswana University of Agriculture and Natural Resources, pursuing a degree in BSc in Range Science.

I recently joined Elephants for Africa in Khumaga for my Field Practical Training as a Research Intern for six weeks. During my training, I am looking forward to learning about the interaction between wild animals and human beings. Moreover, how different wild animals coexist with each other along the Boteti River.

As a Research Intern, I am looking forward to finding solutions for Human-Wild Conflict occurring in areas along the Boteti River. Lastly, to experience camping in the wilderness, I am excited to see the different animals in the park especially the elephants and to experience being closer to the wild animals while researching.
